What type of employment do I have with StatGroup?
You become an employee with StatGroup not a contractor.
Why do healthcare providers hire temporary medical professionals?
Healthcare providers use temporary professionals for a number of reasons, such as vacations, leave of absences, unforeseen workload increase, etc. Sometimes a temp is used until a full time person can be found allowing the healthcare provider to take their time with job searches while still serving their clients.
How long do travel positions last?
Typically 8 to 16 weeks, but many times a hospital or other type of healthcare provider will renew for longer periods.
Is it possible to stay longer?
Absolutely, if it works for all parties, just contact your StatGroup representative.
Where are these assignments?
Throughout the United States we have opportunities for you. We have openings in all sizes of markets, in all sizes of facilities, in all regions of the country. You choose where you want to be, how often you want to travel and, in some cases, even what shift you want to work. Away from work, your time is your own to explore, see the sights and sample the local culture.
How long does it take StatGroup to find positions?
StatGroup has had jobs filled within hours.
The desired location, hours, and the demand for your skill set can determine the timing. On average StatGroup can have you placed within 1-3 weeks. We have some healthcare providers reserving up to 6-8 months in advance so give us a call.
Will there be consistent work for me?
With the workload demand in the nation for healthcare professionals we have several ongoing opportunities. We will also work with you to find your desired specialty.

How do I get there and where do I stay?
StatGroup makes travel and lodging arrangements for you based on your preferences, including a rental car while you’re on assignment. If you prefer to take your own car, we offer a car allowance.
We work with you to find the best fit and make sure you have everything you need as if you were still at home or maybe better?. You don’t need to share housing and we accommodate your personal preferences in habits, comfort, etc.
How much can I make?
Pay rates vary based on your area of practice, certifications, the region of the country, even the shift you work. In general, travelers make substantially more than professionals in a comparable permanent position. Your income also depends on whether you work year-round. Some of our employees like to take time off between assignments, while others prefer to keep going. You can make in 8 months what others make in 12 months depending upon your specialty and location.

What is the StatGroup Rewards Program?

How many hours per week will I work?
Most of our assignments are based upon 40-hour work weeks.
What about overtime?
Contact your StatGroup agent and advise us of your preference.
What happens when the assignment is done?
You can restart the process or be working in advance on it with your StatGroup representative. Or you could take a break and see the area you have been working in if you would like to have more personal time there, it’s up to you.
How am I paid?
While on assignment you keep weekly time sheets, which your on location supervisor will verify and sign. We then process that report, and withhold all required local, state and federal taxes. We direct deposit your earnings weekly into your designated account. StatGroup also provides you with a year-end report to make your tax preparation easier at the end of the year.

What about Vacation Pay?
Yes. When the traveler/employee has worked 2080 hours, and the work has occurred within the previous 730 days (two years), the employee is eligible for forty hours paid vacation. The forty hours of vacation will be paid at the last rate of pay prior to the vacation. Vacation time off may not be scheduled in the middle of an assignment or during an extension of an assignment. Vacation time off is to be scheduled between temporary assignments. Previously earned vacation pay may be drawn by the professional at any time they choose.
What if I'm not licensed in a state where there's an opening?
StatGroup will assist you in the licensure process. In some disciplines it takes a few days; in others it may take a few weeks. Either way, the sooner we get started the better.
For our opportunities at Veterans Administration hospitals and clinics, Army, Navy and Air Force hospitals and Indian Health Service hospitals and clinics, a license in any state is all that is required, regardless of the state where the job exists. A current license from any state is all that is required by the U.S. government.
What about licensing and continuing education?
StatGroup reimburses you for the cost of obtaining new credentials, licensure and offers a continuing education program.
What about insurance?
All StatGroup employees are covered under our Worker’s Compensation and General Liability policies. They are also fully covered for Professional Liability.

Does StatGroup charge me for the services you provide to me?
Employees never pay a fee for our assistance.
